Our Pricing Policy

C.S.S.M. Home Schools is part of the national mission: C.S.S.M. Ministries, commonly known as Canadian Sunday School Mission. C.S.S.M. is interdenominational, evangelical in doctrine, and is a non-profit organization. As a part of C.S.S.M., the goal of C.S.S.M. Home Schools is to provide materials and expertise at an affordable cost.

Hence our intention is to provide these educational materials at our cost, non profit. Because our answer books, literature books, videos, and other resources are returnable, our cost often decreases over the years. As new material becomes available at reasonable costs, we update and supplement our curriculum. Taking both of these factors into account, our prices have fluctuated very little since the 1990's ... even with the continuous rise in paper, publication, and postage costs.

Our prices are for a complete grade level and include all regular courses plus art for grades 1 - 6, health for grades 2 and 4, handwriting for grades 1 - 6, all taxes, all freight to you, and all required record keeping forms, etc. Our intention is also to carry out a 'support' visit to most homes, once a school year.

Our policy consists of providing the first half of any grade level of material at the beginning of the student's time with us and later, as required, the second half. This means the parent does not have to have all the funds at the beginning of the grade level.

We register our home school students with the proper government authorities. In B.C., we pass on a major portion of those Government Grant funds to the parents by way of credit to their account. There are other costs if you chose not to register through C.S.S.M. Home Schools. Any unused balance is refunded to the family should they discontinue home schooling with us. In Alberta, we cooperate with several registering authorities as directed by the parent.

Generally, B.C. parents pay about $365 - $385 per year with about $145 credited for returning materials and receiving government grants. Alberta parents pay about $435 - $455 per year and generally have all their costs covered by their registering authority.
