Encouragement for the ”teacher” in you

Encouragement for the ”teacher” in you!

One of the great challenges for us is to keep our home schools exciting!

Think on these observations:

First, be excited yourself!  Home schooling can be tiresome and difficult as well as scarey.  Remember that God called you to be the one to influence your child.  You are ordained of God to be right where you are now.  Your position, as parent and teacher, is not by chance!  It is an opportunity to excite your children for God.  God has ordained you, in His strength, to excite your children for Him in this world of disorder!

Second, communicate excitement!  Start every day with an expectant heart.  You have the Creator God standing with you!  Communicate that thought to your children.  This is God’s day!  What does God have for us today?  Maybe begin your day with songs like “This is the Day” or “I Will Enter His Courts With Thanksgiving”.  Maybe make Romans 8:28 your family or Home School pledge.  Can God help us understand difficult Math or Science questions?  Will God keep daddy safe today?  Can God help us with a difficult test, today?  Does God see me when I hurt?  Has Christ dealt with my sin and am I a new creature for Him?

“Burnout is when a person no longer thinks

he can make a difference”

We get to the place where we are discouraged, disheartened, and overwhelmed with the distractions of the day, ... “but as for you, brethren, be not weary in well doing.”
